Rescue

Starts at $2,000

Understand what's wrong before spending more money.

Inherited, abandoned, or struggling codebases can be difficult to evaluate from the outside.

Rescue is a technical audit designed to give you a clear picture of the system and what should happen next.

We review

Codebase

Architecture, structure, maintainability, technical debt, and implementation risks.

Database

Schema, relationships, migrations, performance concerns, and data risks.

Security

Authentication, authorization, dependencies, configuration, and obvious security concerns.

Infrastructure

Hosting, deployment, environments, configuration, logging, and operational risks.

Dependencies

Outdated frameworks, packages, runtimes, and unsupported components.

Known problems

We investigate reported bugs, recurring failures, performance issues, and areas that are difficult to change safely.

AI-assisted analysis, human engineering review

AI tools can help analyze large codebases and identify patterns quickly.

We use those tools as part of the process, then apply human engineering judgment to validate findings, determine priorities, and distinguish real risks from noise.

What you receive

A practical technical assessment including:

  • Architecture findings
  • Technical risks
  • Security concerns
  • Technical debt
  • Infrastructure findings
  • Prioritized remediation plan
  • Recommended next steps

Is Rescue right for you?

Rescue is a good fit when you have an existing codebase but don't yet have a clear understanding of its condition, risks, or what should happen next.

This is particularly useful when software was inherited from another developer or agency, development stalled, documentation is missing, or recurring problems are difficult to diagnose.

Good starting point for: abandoned projects, inherited codebases, unreliable applications, unexplained bugs, technical debt, security concerns, and systems you may be considering investing in.

  • Ready to fix the issues? Modernize or Build may be the next step after the assessment.

Important distinction

Rescue is an assessment, not the remediation itself.

Once the system has been assessed, remediation work can be quoted separately.
